Body Shape Series featuring Nordstrom Part 2

Hi Lovelies.  We are finishing the Body Shape Series featuring the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale today.  If you need to start from the beginning, you can find the post describing body shapes here. You can also find the post covering pear and column shapes here.  For today, we will be talking about apple, hourglass, and strawberry.

body shape series

Apple –  The apple body shape requires soft fabric, plain, with little detail.  The tops should hang from the shoulders, and keep the details above the bust and below the hips.

Hourglass – Wear clothes that fit well and follow your body line.  Fitted tops are great, but make sure your outfits have a defined waist.  An hourglass can really wear any pattern and there are a lot of options for cuts and styles.

Strawberry – The key to a strawberry is to draw the eye away from the shoulders.  A strawberry should wear minimal detail on the shoulders with clean straight lines.  Focus on accentuating the hips with pockets and details.

If you haven’t checked out the Nordstrom sale head on over and get your shop on.  I hope you all have a beautiful end to your week.

Great tips! I’m an hourglass and I definitely agree- outfits need to have the waist pulled in! x

Great tips! I studied them before along with colors. But sometimes I still have trouble to decide on the right clothes for me. 😉

Yes color and shapes go hand in hand. It’s the only way to dress and look your best. Thanks for stopping by Grace. xo ~ Megan
