Pattern Mixing Like A Pro

Hi Lovelies.  This trend is one of my current favorites, going bold and pattern mixing like a pro.  If you want to join the street style bloggers of the world, these are three easy ways you can nail it.  Keep it classy and simple with these tips.

Mix The Same Pattern In Different Sizes

The Fashionista Momma shares three tips to pattern mixing like a pro.

One of the first ways to pattern mixing is to go with the same pattern in different sizes.  Stripes on stripes one small and one large print.  Right now everything in my closet is camel, black or mustard so it’s really easy to mix and match patterns.  You can always mix your colors and go with a bold color combo like blue and white and green white stripes.  Have fun with it.  You can also pair plaid in different sizes.

Animal Print & Anything

Animal print is definitely a must wear trend this winter.  Pair animal print with plaid or stripes for an easy pattern mixing outfit.  I’m obsessed with these plaid pants and will wear them with anything.  So, it was a no brainer to pair them with my favorite fur coat.

Same Tonal Palette

If you are scared to go bold, choose patterns in the same tonal palette.  You can choose any pattern just keep the color palette the same.  Think stripes and plaid, or animal print and stripes or floral and stripes.  I went with black and cream, but a red/black/cream combo or black/cream/mustard is another great winter color combo.
